Edit Drum Kit Window (Ensemble Edition only)
IntelliScore Ensemble can listen to a solo percussion track comprised of several different drums and convert it to a multi-drum MIDI file. IntelliScore actually listens to the sound of each drum hit and attempts to identify which drum(s) produced each hit. No other product in the world can do this.
You assist intelliScore by telling it which percussion instruments are present in the original audio. You can save your drum kits for use in future projects, or you can use any of the predefined several drum kits supplied with intelliScore.
To improve accuracy, if the original audio contains two or more percussion instruments that sound very similar to each other, such as an acoustic snare and electric snare, try specifying only one of the instruments through the Drum Kit Editor. Also, try excluding percussion instruments that cannot be prominently heard in the audio or are hit infrequently. You can also restrict the Polyphony, that is, the maximum number of percussion instruments that can be played at one time.
To access the Drum Kit Editor, open the Project Editor, click on the Pitch tab and select Drums only, then click on the MIDI tab and click on the button with the Drum icon. For an integrated introduction to the effective use of the Drum Kit Editor, refer to the tutorial Converting a Percussion Track.
